Summary

The Loop Lab — in partnership with Huntington Theatre and YouthBuild Just A Start — is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the Liberty Mutual Collaborative Project. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication, and meeting project milestones on time. Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver results within deadlines are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with key partners. Lead meetings to ensure team alignment and manage workflows to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the central point of communication between stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing challenges to keep the project on track.

  • Deliverable Oversight: Collaborate with the Curriculum Developer/Instructional Designer to ensure the timely delivery of curriculum and training materials.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to address them, ensuring the smooth allocation of resources and project success.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records and provide monthly progress reports and a final project summary to Liberty Mutual Foundation, highlighting key outcomes and scalability opportunities.

  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with the approved budget while collaborating with finance teams for transparency and accountability.

deliverables

  • Project Plan: A comprehensive timeline with milestones and deliverables, finalized within the first two weeks of start date.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration Plan: A document outlining communication protocols, roles, and responsibilities across all partners.

  • Request for Proposals (RFP): Conduct interviews with theater industry leaders, staff from The Huntington, and partner organizations, and facilitate focus groups with opportunity youth (incl. YouthBuild Just A Start and Loop Lab graduates). Use findings to identify in-demand roles, starting salaries, skills gaps, and demographic gaps, informing model development and design.

  • Logic Model and Data Monitoring System: Create a visual model detailing program goals, workforce pathways, progress tracking, and the initiative’s impact.

  • Monthly Progress Reports: Regular updates on project progress, challenges, and budget status.

  • Final Report: A summary of achievements, lessons learned, and scalability recommendations, to be submitted by June 2025.

  • Curriculum Oversight: Verification and approval of the curriculum and instructional guides developed by the Curriculum Developer.

  • Curriculum Delivery: Successful delivery of the final curriculum product.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.

  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, or workforce development programs.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com) and Microsoft/Google Suites.

  • Familiarity with the professional AV industry and media arts education is a plus.

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations or corporate teams is a plus.

  • Experience working with or familiarity with Opportunity Youth populations.

  • Experience and/or comfort designing and facilitating focus groups.

Compensation and work conditions

The position is based in Metro Boston with a hybrid work arrangement, and local candidates are preferred. The project will run from December 2024 to June 2025. Compensation ranges from $40k to $50k, paid as a flat fee with installments tied to the completion of specific deliverables and milestones throughout the project.
